You are on your way home. You ride by motorcycle into the sunset. You see something mysterious in the sky.
You are on your way home. You ride by motorcycle into the sunset. You see something mysterious in the sky. A UFO! You are on your way home. You are a witness to a murder. You are on your way home. You know a few secrets about people you met. You are on your way home. You’re about to watch a game on TV and you just got home. You are on your way home.
As you ride your motorcycle off into the sunset, you see something unexpected on the horizon.
Two long legged creatures, breathing heavily and pointing at you and the motorcycle.
“That’s my ride!”
One of the creatures exclaims.
He reaches over and slams the passenger door of a pickup truck closed.
As you gaze at your new companion you notice that they are not exactly humanoid.
There are tall pointed ears, a protruding nose, sharp claws, and they are both beautiful and terrifying.
Both of them, in a beast – like embrace.
They reach up and touch each other as you get into the cab of the truck.
You barely notice the bumper sticker that says “Beware of Dogs: My Wife Lives Here.”
It’s a true story, but probably a stretch for the length.
You’ll see!
This will be a real blog, with real content.
Every one of my posts will be posted with a comment.
This is because I want you to write your own story to go along with my story.
Send it to me and I’ll post it.
I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do with the site.
I’m going to try and find a lot of photos of you and your friends to go along with my story.
I’m going to use as many photos as possible that have been posted by you guys.
This is a side effect of not using professional photographers to take all the pictures I’ve used in the past.
I’m really sorry about that.
I am still looking for the photos that go along with my story.
I’m going to start posting them in a few days.
It’s going to be a long hard slog, but it’s going to be fun.
This will also be a daily blog.
The most important thing about this blog is that it will be interactive.
You can send me your stories, your photos, your jokes, your insults, and whatever else.
It doesn’t have to be good, just send it.
This is going to be a long term project.
I’m going to be posting every day and will be taking the entire summer off from work.
So, if you want to help me out with this, sign up for my mailing list.
You’ll get an email each time I post a new story.
You are on your way home. You ride by motorcycle into the sunset. You see something mysterious in the sky. You are being pursued by police. Your vehicle is engulfed in flames. Your life is in danger. You are losing your mind. Your sanity is in jeopardy. Your sense of reality is being warped. Your senses are taken over. You are in a madhouse. You are hallucinating. You are in the crazy house.
You are going crazy.
You are a freaking mental case.
If you are actually experiencing this and experiencing it for the first time, then you have only to look back at your life to see that it was not your fault. You were doing your best to cope with the circumstances you were in, the things you were exposed to, and the people you were being pulled in opposite directions by. What your head was spinning around like a whirling dervish was due to the fact that you were strung out on mind-altering drugs, and the substances that were being pumped into your bloodstream were the cause of your issues.
We all know this by now, but the greatest irony of all is that the only people who had it easy during the period of time when these drugs were legal, were the ones who were selling them. Because that is when they would be the least accountable for their actions, and they could take as much as they wanted from you and never have to fear any kind of repercussions.
So let us all try to take a moment and put ourselves in the shoes of those who were so quick to push for legalizing drugs, and then try to put ourselves in the shoes of the people who have experienced the terrible effects of their actions.
I don’t know if it will make any difference, but I am going to try.
It is just the thought that can sometimes be enough to get us through some rough patches.
Let’s go home, and get some rest.
