You have the opportunity to switch places with your friend for a day. The situation changes and you stay in his body for a week!
You have the opportunity to switch places with your friend for a day. The situation changes and you stay in his body for a week!
Here is how it works…
You sign up using this form
You will get a confirmation email with instructions (you can print it out and keep it with you so you don’t forget)
You will do the challenge once per month (maybe twice) and the points will be uploaded to a shared calendar (open to everyone).
When you do the challenge, you will do so as a complete stranger – we won’t know each other (so no funny business) and we will also be communicating via IM. You will get to find out who you are in his body and when your time is up, you will switch places. Your switch partner will then keep your bag and keep track of it for the remainder of your body time.
What can you expect to experience as a stranger in another person’s body?
The pressure of not knowing how you compare
When you learn something, the perception is immediate.
“Hey, I already know this!”
“Hey, I’ve known this for years!”
“Hey, I have even better ideas than you!”
“Oh, this doesn’t work for me”
When you get what you need
And when you don’t
Helping your body overcome a problem
Playing with your body’s limitations
Some people will be extremely upset to learn they are heavier than they had been expecting, whereas others are surprised to learn they are actually shorter. I like to say: If you walk into your body’s bathroom and don’t recognize anything (including yourself) you have not gone through a shift. You just stepped into a different bathroom.
What can you expect to experience as a stranger in another person’s body?
Being very introverted
Having an open-ended mind
Trying to communicate in a new way
Looking for a mate
Becoming more self-sufficient
Becoming more connected to your body
Wondering what “you” did while you were gone
Different eating habits
New smells
Some ways in which your body will be changed as a stranger in another person’s body:
Feeling somewhat more sensitive to light
Losing your butt
Learning what is comfortable and what is uncomfortable
Feeling very tired
Changing the way you talk
You might also notice a few other things, such as:
Never having to spell anything out
Almost never having to think about your shirt not covering your tummy
Running into strangers with great skill
Not worrying about what to eat
Becoming more attached to those around you
Becoming more sensitive to the thoughts of others
What advice do you have for someone who is wondering how to sign up and participate in this unique experience?
Once you have signed up, be prepared to experience a complete sense of liberation. There is no social pressure, no questions asked, no worrying about your partner. You will be able to be completely yourself in his body, take the challenges on, and stay in a very accepting state of mind. If this is the challenge you are looking for, I would absolutely recommend it!
Here are my two pieces of advice.
Try this out as a single-person challenge – you will get the best experience.
If you like it, sign up as a buddy and get your friend to try it with you.
