Your best friend knows there is a way to get to the house.

What is it?

(opens her eyes) What house?

You walk through the front door.

When you walk in, the only thing you see is an old piano.

There is a baby grand piano inside the house.

You think, “What the heck?”

You have an urge to play that piano.

You walk into the back of the house.

You come across a staircase.

At the bottom of the stairs, you are in a bathroom.

It is very small.

There is a table in the corner, which has an apple.

The apple is dripping water onto the floor.

You pick it up and eat it.

It is a sour apple.

You feel sick.

There is a light in the bathroom.

You can see yourself playing the piano.

Suddenly, you hear a voice.

It is your teacher’s voice.

Your teacher is at the top of the stairs.

You stare at her.

You play the piano.

Her face turns white.

You finish playing the piano.

You hear a voice say, “Good job.”

You feel happy.

You see a light.

It is a door.

You stumble across an abandoned house in the woods. There is light in the window. How strange, you think. You walk around the outside. Inside is an amazing sight. It looks like your childhood memories come to life. You stand at the foot of the stairs. The house has been remodeled. The owners have made it their home. But you still can’t bring yourself to go inside. A voice tells you to climb. So you do.

You climb to the second floor. You look around. All of the things your parents told you about the house are true. There are toys in the playroom, but they are all so old and dusty you can’t tell which ones are yours. In the family room, you see a giant TV. It is the biggest TV in the world. You begin to wonder if your parents had ever watched TV. You wonder if they were ever happier than they were in the basement. You wonder if they ever told you about the house. You try to stand up, but it doesn’t work. The pain in your legs is unbearable. You notice something in the shadows. It seems like a human. It is dead. You begin to scream, but no sound comes out. You try to turn around, but your body won’t listen. You try to move your arms, but they too seem paralyzed. Your eyes have gone white. You feel as if your world is about to end.

And then you start to fall.
