Two men in a hotel are undercover cups following one of the biggest criminals.  The assistant manager of a hotel is questioning one of the guests, a known gangster.

He mentions that the girl sitting at the desk is beautiful, but he is “old fashioned” and insists on getting a room with a bed.

The girl he’s referring to is a stunning twenty – year old blond bombshell who gives him the evil eye.

He says that she’s not there to have sex with him and that she’s a journalist for one of the top magazines in the country.

The girl grins, then gets up and walks away.

She returns later and hands the assistant manager a card.

So, the 4th floor is their beat and they cover that floor like a nova.

There’s one guy who works the 4th floor and he’s the one who tells them what they need to know about the case and all the info that they need.

He’s been doing it for years.

The two detectives are a young guy and a retired professor.

The guy on the 4th floor goes to work every day and picks up his check.

The professor goes down in the evenings.

The professor is a sweet old man that loves teaching and loves to get his students excited about things.

He’s a brilliant man and so smart, yet he’s retiring soon because he can’t get a job.

He’s an old lady’s lap dog who isn’t smart enough to do anything else.

Anyway, the old lady is from a wealthy family and she was in love with her lover and he was in love with her.

He was a diplomat and he was to come to the US to meet her family and so they planned a visit.

The day he was to arrive, his plane crashed and he died.

His family disowned him and his family was so upset that they disowned her, too.

She was devastated and wanted to give up and die too, but she didn’t know what to do and her family wouldn’t take her in.

She had no other family and no one to turn to so she had nowhere to go.

She was going to kill herself.

The professor decided to let her take his place on the 4th floor and tell her all of the details that she’d been missing from her life.

It’s been an amazing thing and she’s been very grateful for him.

So, they work together and solve cases.

She teaches him how to do it and he helps her feel like she has a purpose again.

He helps her get in touch with her lost love and with herself.

I guess the old lady was writing a novel and that’s how they met.

But they’re just doing their job, they’re just helping people, but it’s a lot more than that.

They do all kinds of good deeds.

Sometimes they even take in runaway kids who need somewhere to stay.

It’s amazing what they do and they do it with very few problems and they don’t make any money from it, but they don’t need to.

I guess they just love it.

I guess that’s what I love about the 4th floor, the people and the stories.

It’s a wonderful book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

For the two of them, they don’t need to be rich and famous to help other people and make a difference.

That’s what makes them special.

Oh, and it’s a really great love story, too.

Okay, so I finished this book yesterday and I loved it so much that I can’t stop thinking about it.
