You are a photographer at the wedding. You push the camera button and all stay on time.
“Say cheese!” You push the camera button, hear the click, and… that’s when all stay on time. I have to admit, I’m not a photographer and I don’t know if this is a blessing or a curse, but I do know that when I have that camera it seems like I don’t have a care in the world. I’m not responsible for what I do with it. I can just be… me, only better.”
Is that all there is? A handful of candid shots? Not hardly.
“I’m the chubby girl with a camera. I’m that person in the background of a photo shoot, always trying to get that photo that’s just right. That’s me. That’s who I am.”
And you can be too. You just need to pick up a camera.
“When I’m taking photos, I can be anyone I want to be. I can be the photographer, the model, the artist, or just another person on the street. I’m not stuck to one way of being. I’m just being.”
What better way to prove that than by walking into the world of blogs?
“What’s your story? What’s your reason for creating a blog? For using photography to document it? What’s your mission? The pictures you take tell your story, but your story doesn’t have to end with the pictures. That’s what you can show others. That’s what you can show yourself.”
You see, the story is in the eyes. And the eyes are your window into your world.
You wait, and you wait, but your camera will not respond.
You notice your sister is making a video of the wedding, and she has a camera.
You see that she is using the video camera for a moment, so you check the camera for the moments you were using the camera.
You see that it’s running at the same time you were.
You go into panic mode.
You have no idea why the camera won’t work, but you need to get your sister to stop filming.
So you grab your camera and hold it up as if you know what you are doing.
You are in panic mode.
You hold it up, and push the button.
It takes a few moments for the picture to be taken, but when it does, you are overjoyed!
You show your sister, and then you quickly get in your car.
You start driving, hoping that you can make it to your brother’s house to download the pictures, but you see the light in your head start to blink slowly.
You make it to the house and see your sister and your nephew all together.
You are about to say something, when you see the timer on the camera counting down.
You look over at your nephew, and he is sitting with his mouth open.
You see that he is playing with the timer.
You turn your head back to the camera, but your nephew has the camera in his hands.
You can’t believe what just happened.
You see that he has the timer set to five minutes.
You make it over to him and take the camera from his hand.
You press the button, and it takes a moment for the picture to be taken, but it does, and you see the first image.
The picture is blurry, because you are in a hurry, but you see the image.
You look up, and you see that you are out of time, and that the timer is about to stop.
You try to push the button, but your hands are shaking too hard.
You see that you have five more seconds left, and that you need to take more pictures.
You take one more, and as the timer runs down, you realize that the camera is blank.
